Uninstall Norton Internet Security Mac

Greetings All,
Recently I did a clean install of Mavericks and since been working on installing my normal software packages which includes Norton Internet Security (Comcast Version 5.6 - Mavericks compatible) I am able to get as far as the activation and reach the live update, but the live update seems to hang. Has anyone else had this problem? So far, it's a clean OS install with no other programs installed.
Note: On my Macbook Air the full installation and live update completes without any problems, which leads me to consider perhaps the problem may be a Hackintosh problem, though not sure at this point.
Any help, clarification or suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
****Note: Works fine now. I was having issues with powermanagement, having solve that, Norton Internet Security Updated fine****
